A marine fiberglass repair is a process of fixing or restoring damaged or broken fiberglass components on a boat. Fiberglass is a common material used to build boats because it is strong, lightweight, and resistant to corrosion. However, even with proper care, fiberglass boats can become damaged due to impacts, abrasions, or exposure to the elements.

Fiberglass repairs typically involve sanding and grinding the damaged area to remove any loose or broken fibers, cleaning the area to remove any debris, and then applying a new layer of fiberglass cloth or mat and resin to the damaged area. The area is then sanded and smoothed with fairing compound to match the contour of the surrounding surface. Lastly, the protective coating is applied and blended with the existing paint or gelcoat to match as closely as possible.
